Follow a syllabus-first filter

Prioritise developments relevant to governance, the economy, science, the environment and international relations. A news item becomes useful when you connect it to a concept rather than memorising an isolated headline.

Keep notes short and verifiable

For each topic note what happened, why it matters and the relevant institution or concept. Verify dates and figures using official releases. Avoid copying entire articles into your notes; summarise them in your own words.

Revise using questions

Turn each note into two or three recall questions. Mix current affairs with static subjects in weekly revision. Before any test, review recurring themes and your incorrect answers rather than starting new sources.

Use this guide as a starting point. Verify facts with authoritative sources and connect each point to your broader notes.
